As most small businesses start out, ours was nothing different. We literally started out of the family garage. We first started selling the 1970 line of Ski-Doo snowmobiles in the fall of 1969 and then with our first Honda bikes in the spring of 1970. Our family home was transformed into a thriving business. The garage was our service shop, the basement rec room was our parts and clothing department, and the living room was our showroom, utilizing a coffee table as a display platform, showcasing our first Z50 through the living room window.

As the years went by, we were in need of more room, so in 1973 we bought a piece of land just outside of Wingham on Highway 86 and relocated the family home and business to its present location. Along the way we acquired many new lines, including White lawn and garden, Roper (AYP) lawn and garden, Ariens lawn and garden, Tanaka weed trimmers, John Deere lawn and garden, Briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, and Kohler lawn and garden parts. Through the years, we had to make certain decisions to keep and to let some of these lines go, but we made a strong commitment to our customers that we would service the products we sold as long as we could
